December has arrived, but 2023 might still hold many surprises! Just ask Sam Altman, who in just one week got pushed out of OpenAI. Then he joined Microsoft. Then he got reinstated as CEO of OpenAI. Maybe this is a sign that we are going to see more AI news soon… But for now let's continue with the last updates of the year from your favorite cybersecurity tool!

💎 Findings for Exposed Critical Services

Unxpose has always provided a complete view of what services and ports are exposed in your company's infrastructure, and it was up to each company to understand the potential risks. Today we are changing the latter part, and creating new findings for services that can be vulnerable by being exposed to the internet:

  • FTP (port 21)

  • SSH (port 22)

  • Telnet (port 23)

  • NetBIOS (port 139)

  • SQL Server (port 1433)

  • MySQL (port 3306)

  • PostgreSQL (port 5432)

We started with the services we consider most important, and soon we will add some more checks. If you believe there is a service that should have a finding and it is not in the list yet, reply to this email and we will add it.

💎 One more thing!

Here are more updates worth knowing:

  • Pagination in the Cloud section: now if your company has several connected cloud accounts, accessing them is way faster;

  • New flow for updating AWS integration: we are always launching new checks in new services, and for that reason, we have made the integration update process much easier;

  • Integration of What's Important with All Findings section: now it's much easier to navigate through the most important findings of each section, just click on "see all" button inside the What's Important table and you will be redirected to the All Findings section sorted by criticality.
